A few updates and Notes. We are not using the SA Hotfix (too late!). I do have a tournament ruling that resurrecting destroyed guest units is not allowed, though healing wound pools of existing units is. This years Swag is: · 2 Resin Zoo Corner Markers · 2 Plastic 9th age Corner Markers · Zoo Dice Cup or Zoo Hill Stepper (pick one) The Corner markers come with some putty so they don’t move (great for OBJ’s as well). I have found that marking corners before moving is courteous, resolves so many conflicts, and actually really speeds play with all the picking up and shuffling during the “thinking Phase”. I have more for sale 😊. Everyone’s Giant Build has been uploaded here: https://www.infernalzoo.com/uploads/1/3/0/5/13057325/2022-_iz_giants.pdf I have Haikus from: James Wroot, Aaron Chaum, Derek Wiswell, Henry Greip, Joel Boccio, Darryl Grigsby Please resend if your not listed (email!, Haiku in header), and If sending on in, get them to me by Midnight tonight. Amazing Turnout on the Hobby Hero Stories, They will get formated and posted a bit after the event. But if your looking for some enroute inspirational reading they can be found here: https://www.infernalzoo.com/uploads/1/3/0/5/13057325/2022-_iz_stories.pdf A bonus poem from Henry to Y’all: It was the day before Zoomas And all through Nor Cal Every creature was stirring Even Will of the Joust The tables were laden with terrain with great care In hopes that on time players would be there But from table 4 there rose such a clatter Alex left his ringers game to see what was the matter And what to his TO eyes did appear? But a longship raid and two giants so dear - Henry Greip Cheers, Alex Hey All!

Infernal Zoo IX is a Wrap! Such amazing models this year. I love all the work people put into their armies for this event!
This year went fantastically. After every one of these I wish every person who attended was my neighbor and we could game every week. So great to see old friends and all the new faces! Other then me knocking the ole TO rust off and slowing things a bit day one (sorry sorry sorry), everything went smashingly. I loved having everyone at my place. Friday night was a solid turnout with Games Played! Even sorted out our massive castle 9th age skirmish game, and while Joel can apparently play 9th age, his cultists can’t climb walls for shit. And who can forget Gort the Taruhk enforcer, scourge of the empire, and his bloody trail of body parts. See here for 9th Age Skrimish Rules: https://www.the-ninth-age.com/community/index.php?thread/17990-the-9th-age-skirmish-campaigns/ Those rules are a great way to introduce brand new players to miniatures gaming and the 9th age. Game 3 did not disappoint with over 40 giants stomping around the battlefield. Saturday night banquet on the deck was also great food and fun, and I think better then ever, so we may stick with that. Joel Boccio was the Overall Winner (and Players choice Army!) , Ben Kerr won best paint, Micah Pierce Best General, and Russel Mooney Top sportsmanship. Top Team Gaming: Min-Max Top Team Painting: Bizarro Hammer For Full results check here: https://www.infernalzoo.com/2021-awards-and-results.html More Pics: https://www.infernalzoo.com/2021-photos.html Joel is going to the North American Masters! Should be in Pasadena this year, Will be a play in event on Friday to qualify as well and a concurrent tournament for those not in the masters. Upcoming Events Tides Of War: Nov 13-14 http://tidesofwargt.com/ North American Team Championships: Dec 11-12 https://9thagenatc.wordpress.com/ North American Masters and Gemini Play in: Pasadena, tentatively Feb 9-11 Coming Soon: Silicon Hammer: Bay Area (1 Day – 3 Games) JigSaw: Sacramento (1 Day – 3 Games) I’ll leave you with Derrek’s Top Haiku: For King, Queen and Farm Giant see and Giant do Plough to club and shield Cheers Alex Lists, List Review, and Matchup Podcasts are in!
This year we have two Podcast Review Shows Paired Weapons in the UK https://soundcloud.com/user-101924936/episode-54-infernal-zoo-lists-review-with-johnny-crass And our Own Glory of the Golden State: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmMeyLZzYGA We Rolled the Deployment on the Padcast and Game one will be refused Flank (5) for everyone. We also had a drop (Rick had Baby!!!) .. so James is now Playing the Ringer (Tiff) Lists ae now uploaded on the main page (and Attached), note you will see some corrections from mistakes I made that people caught during the podasts. If you see anything up with your lists let me know ASAP. Also see attached freebies for this year. Everyone gets an Infernal Zoo Hill Stepper for supporting the corners of your units off those pesky hills. Zoo Rules Clarifications Scoring Several units are “Count” as Towering Presence (TP) in the Zoo Rules. This just matters for the Zoo points, as well scoring purposes in Kong Island and Moster Mash Scenarios. These models do not have otherwise have the TP rule or trigger any other TP related rules. EoS Young Griffon rank and file and Character units do both gain the Zoo effective TP Rules A character that gains scoring joined to a that is also scoring only counts as 1 unit for scoring purposes. Giants The giant supplement have not been updated for the latest Vermin Swarm book and the special rules assigned to that giant are not relevant. Replace the with: Life is Cheap, and Who Dat Guy (model has callous rule and counts as standard size for resolving the callous rule for other models).
